Fort Casey Thanksgiving weekend
Another pole in the middle- one of my new series.
this one didn't make the cut for a series i just submitted but i like it anyways..it had started to rain when we visited on our post thanks giving overnight on whidby. it was a faster exploration then usual but we had been out all morning visiting Coupeville and historic Oak harbor.

Concrete Historic Byway
"Safety Follows Wisdom"
Back in April we stayed a night in Mt Vernon at the lovely Whispering Firs Bed and Breakfast.
prior to arriving we spent a good afternoon photographing in and around the town of concrete.
i had read about it ages ago but it was a bit too far for a day trip - and lodging nearby isnt easy - Mt Vernon and Sedro Woolley are but Concrete does not have much in terms of it's own lodging as i guess it's had its hay day -
but i would love to stay near by - its fantastic.
