ebey island shack

tried the centennial trail in Snohomish today - not so much excitement- can see how it'd be nice on a bike or a horse but the walk ...too many bikes for a start...
we didn't go far - we were on the 20th st  entrance to it which had parking - we didn't go far before looking for something less like a path following a road behind some ramshackle-ness.

so we ventured further on  the trail to places where we couldn't park- it was sunny so at least our tentacles were not freezing.
so instead we hit ebey island ...and this is what we saw....see also :

thin book of northern state hospital farm

Vote for my Book in the Photography Book Now competition.

i published my first book on blurb- to submit for a competition there - as well as to get a  handle on something i have wanted to do for ahwile!
i guess after many years trying to join in and create some sort of unified community - of art types well....maybe i have fallen in love with becoming and being an outsider artist and it is in fact way more romantic then the option of being some media darling.
so self publishing , plus my ability to build my own websites (however weird they might be) well i am an outsider artist powerhouse these days...
and well i am ok with that.

repurposed train cars -yakima 7/16/2010

94 degrees in yakima.- toastada and margarita in a mexican restaurant made of four old rail cars- attached 3 for ding and one for the kitchen. we sat on the patio. with dog. i think the place was called tequilas. it was attached to a string of other restaurants and shopfronts built onto old train cars.
