and the winnner is This hot little left behind motel/cafe/shop/gas station near steamboat rock.
i have seen alot this year-
on all fronts dramatic natural beauty and fantastic human ruins.
this place was a treat and remains a treat for me to finish working on files produced that warm summers day.
and although that being sneeky can be exciting sometimes the act of being sneaky detracts from potential images ...
not that it's all about the iamges produced-
its the experience for me of feeling the sensation of a left behind space-
to touch it gently and imagine that through osmosis you can take on it's history- or at least i do.
drive in motel gas station - i love you just the way you are.

Fantastic Abandoned gas station Near steamboat rock, Wa
luckily my family is generous and we went back the following day on the way to Spokane via Steptoe Butte.
I scampered about the place got some mosquito bites to add to the previous nights which were up at 20 something?! it's been a long time since i'd been eaten so badly.
swallows ducked and dived and nested in the eaves and inside a couple of the open buildings.
a pink oven that was rocking my world aside from it's electric burners. i think i got the location pretty spot on as this is where we trundled onto 2 to spokane.
