Concrete Historic Byway

"Safety Follows Wisdom"
Back in April we stayed a night in Mt Vernon at the lovely Whispering Firs Bed and Breakfast.
prior to arriving we spent a good afternoon photographing in and around the town of concrete.
i had read about it ages ago but it was a bit too far for a day trip - and lodging nearby isnt easy - Mt Vernon and Sedro Woolley are but Concrete does not have much in terms of it's own lodging as i guess it's had its hay day -
but i would love to  stay near by - its fantastic.
These images are from in the town and scenic byway perimeter.
please check out my other images from the area known as devils tower:
1- tunnel where conveyer belt would have been
2-general area of devils tower

the davenport old school building

one mornings worth of photographs of the Davenport before leaving.
This is the original hotel vs the tower where we stayed.
shame as there are meant to be ghosts in this bit!
