brighton west pier circa january 1999


another new scan of an old 110 negative the above being newly scanned and the below being a scan from an 8x10 print.
it was built between 1863- 1866! what a beauty. it is (was) a grade 1 listed building,
or should i face facts and say was.
in 2002 bits fell off in a big way and through to 2003 chunks and whole sections of building collapsed into raging waters. and THEN it burnt to bits in 2003. all that remains is the metal skelatan on the water. bare bones.
i am glad to have met it, RIP.
